CS2 New Update: Charms, New Stickers, Community Maps and More!

October’s CS2 update brings a Halloween treat bag filled with 45 new charms, 38 fresh stickers, three community maps, and several gameplay tweaks. The Dr. Boom charm collection adds spooky ball creatures to your weapons, while community artists have contributed sausage-themed charms and diverse sticker designs. Players can now battle across Palacio, Golden and Rooftop maps, replacing the outgoing Jura, Grail, Dogtown, and Brewery. Beyond cosmetics, Valve has fixed sniper scope accuracy displays, added C4 death tracking, and introduced limited Zeus kill streaks in deathmatch.

What’s new in CS2’s October 2025 update?

The October 2025 update packs 45 new charms and 38 stickers into CS2’s Armory, giving players plenty of fresh customisation options. Two charm collections lead the charge: Dr. Boom brings 22 Halloween-themed designs, while Missing Link Community adds 23 sausage-inspired creations from workshop artists.

Three community maps join the rotation. Palacio and Golden are available in Competitive, Casual, and Deathmatch modes. Rooftop expand the Wingman pool. These replace Jura, Grail, Dogtown, and Brewery, keeping map variety fresh.

Gameplay improvements include better sniper scope accuracy representation, C4 detonation tracking on scoreboards, and limited Zeus kill streak bonuses in deathmatch. Spectator mode gets quality-of-life updates too, with improved camera transitions and loadout displays showing glove wear patterns.

Dr. Boom and Missing Link community charms explained

Dr. Boom charms bring Halloween vibes year-round with 22 spooky ball characters sporting tiny feet and ears. These creepy-cute designs attach to your weapons through the Armory, adding personality without affecting gameplay. Each charm moves slightly when you make audible footsteps, creating subtle visual feedback during matches.

The Missing Link Community collection showcases 23 sausage-themed charms created by workshop artists. Building on the original Missing Link concept, these community designs range from silly to sophisticated. You can grab both collections through the Armory’s charm section, where they join the existing Small Arms collection.

New sticker collections: 2025 community and Sugarface 2

The 2025 Community Stickers collection features 29 designs from workshop creators, showcasing everything from minimalist graphics to detailed artwork. These replace the Gallery Case, Graphic Collection, and Character Craft stickers, which Valve removed from the Armory. The variety means you’ll find something to match any skin aesthetic.

Sugarface 2 returns with nine colourful skull variations. These vibrant designs pop on darker weapon skins, offering bold customisation options for players who want their loadout to stand out. The skulls range from neon pink to electric blue, each with unique details.

Community maps: Palacio, Golden and Rooftop breakdown

Palacio and Golden bring fresh battlegrounds to Competitive, Casual, and Deathmatch modes. Palacio features tight corridors and multiple elevation changes, rewarding players who master its vertical gameplay. Golden takes players to an abandoned mine setting with long sightlines perfect for AWPs and smokes.

Rooftop expand Wingman options with compact, intense layouts. Rooftop’s urban setting creates quick rotations and close-quarter fights. The map favour aggressive playstyle and quick decision-making.

These three maps replace Jura, Grail, Dogtown, and Brewery in matchmaking. Map rotation keeps the game fresh and gives community creators spotlight time. Players should expect initial queue times to be longer as everyone tries the new layouts.

Gameplay improvements and technical fixes worth noting

The scoreboard now shows C4 detonation deaths with a special icon, helping teams track who’s getting caught in bomb blasts. This small change improves post-round analysis and helps identify positioning mistakes during retakes.

Deathmatch gets spicier with Zeus kill streak bonuses. Chain multiple Zeus kills for extra points, encouraging risky close-range plays. The sniper scope accuracy fix displays weapon inaccuracy properly, giving AWPers and Scout users better visual feedback about their shot precision.

Spectator improvements include smoother camera transitions between players and better loadout displays showing glove wear values. These changes make watching matches more enjoyable and help casters provide better commentary. Various bug fixes round out the update, including crash prevention for missing bullet effects and skinning adjustments for the MAC-10 and R8 Revolver.

October’s CS2 update balances cosmetic additions with practical improvements. While the 83 new customisation items grab attention, the gameplay tweaks and map rotation keep the competitive experience fresh. This update offers something for every player type.
