Skinvault FAQ

Skinvault is a P2P marketplace for buying and selling CS skins. Here are most of the relevant questions regarding buying, selling, transactions and other features our product has. Feel free to contact us at support@skinvault.gg if you may not find answer to your question.

Account

You may sign in or create an account by signing via Steam. Before you log in, make sure that your profile settings are set to Public.

API-Key and tradelink are used for creating and tracking trade offers on the Steam platform. We need these to accurately give you information about your ongoing tradeoffers on the marketplace. Make sure to only give your API-Key to trusted sites such as Skinvault.gg to avoid any scammers.

When we disable your account for any reason, we send you an email or text message stating why your account has been disabled. You may contact our support regarding the issue. Users can be disabled for various reasons: misuse suspicions, trade bans, restricted Steam accounts, etc.

You can contact us via email support@skinvault.gg if you wish to delete or disable your account. Please state on the message if you wish to delete or disable the account.

You can change the language via your account settings.

Buying

1. Log in with Steam from the top-right corner. 2. Make sure your privacy settings (https://steamcommunity.com/my/edit/settings) are set to Public. 3. Set up your Steam tradelink and mobile number, as well as your personal information. 4. Go to the Trade-page and look for an item(s) you want to trade. 5. Press on the item(s) you wish to trade. They will be then added to the trade section. 6. Select your item(s) you wish to trade. You can also press the “+” icon on the top right of the page to deposit money onto the site to buy set items. You can also do this to top up a trade to upgrade your items. 7. Lastly, you will receive a tradeoffer on Steam, please follow the instructions given. 8. When you have accepted the trade offer, everything is done! If you are trading for more than one skin at a time, you might have to wait for the next offer once the first one goes through. 9. If you need any help with buying, our support will be happy to help you along.

If you didn’t receive the item that you had traded for, please contact support to sort out the issue.

Selling

1. Log in with Steam from top-right corner. 2. Make sure your privacy settings (https://steamcommunity.com/my/edit/settings) are set to Public 3. Go to Instant Sell-page and choose the item(s) you wish to sell instantly. All eligible items have a yellow lightning icon on them. All items are not supported by this feature unfortunately. You can also choose 'Sell all eligible items instantly' if you wish to do so. 4. After this, confirm the sale and you will be forwarded to the delivery page. Please fill in necessary information when asked. 5. We will create the tradeoffer window for you. After this, you need to accept the trade in Steam following our instructions. Remember to check the account level and join date on MOBILE AUTHENTICATOR when confirming the trade. THIS IS EXTREMELY IMPORTANT AS WE WON'T BE RESPONSIBLE IF YOU SEND AN TRADEOFFER TO WRONG ACCOUNT. 6. After trade is completed, you will receive the payment to the withdrawal method of your choice. (note that bank transfers might take some time to process, depending on the bank and the country you live in).
